Eleven votes, and one of them his own
The deluded proto-fascist Frank Portelli polled just 11 votes, and one of them was his own. Gosh, I’m impressed. Even I didn’t think it would be such a dismal showing. But then I remind myself how he only polled just over 1,000 votes from the entire national electorate in the European Parliament elections eight years ago (he should never have been allowed to contest on a decent party’s ticket), and I think: 10 votes is not so bad.
I hope that this particular Jack finally gets the message, climbs into his box and closes the lid tight-shut. But I’ve been around for long enough to know that Nationalist Party leader Adrian Delia will bring him on board in a pseudo-consultancy role to keep him happy. You did notice how he always makes a point of thanking him for his support.
Those two have a lot of proto-fascist ideas to play with. They can meet for coffee and talk about their debts of millions. They have so much in common.
