Why is the bus strike being handled by the General Workers Union’s Taqsima Marittima u Avjazzjoni (see previous post)?
I don’t know a thing about the GWU structure, but this gives the impression that in Tony Zarb’s world view, buses swim or fly.
You’d think that the Taqsima Avjazzoni would have its hands full fighting Air Malta cut-backs and redundancies, but no. It has taken on buses as well.

Met Zarb for the first time when Jack Calamatta ran the union. He was number two.
Was contracted to analyze the impact of Sant’s electricity tariff increases on the economy.
Presented my findings in the GWU board room. Explained that my results indicated a decline in GDP.
Zarb asked, ‘what’s a GDP?’
I gave up.
You should have made up some bogus answer. Grossly Dangling Pudenda. Gigantic Dinosaur Penis. Gorgeous Dandy Perverts.
Perhaps, by now he has found out what GDP is!.
Yes he has…

I’m laughing my head off! Really good! Great way to end an extremely long and never-ending day at the office :)
