Shriek and scream and Saviour will give you what you want

Isn’t it astonishing how, instead of criticising the psycho-pathological peevishness of certain Nationalist MPs, Saviour Balzan instead criticises the prime minister for not handling them in the way they expect.
What is Lawrence Gonzi in Balzan’s eyes – chief administrator of a loony-bin?
Here is the man with more psychological problems than most (which is probably why he identifies so closely with the parliamentary pains in the arse) in his Malta Today column yesterday.
Most of them would have continued to row the boat down the stream if they had been given the attention, the positions and opportunity to operate.
Instead, they were pilloried by the bile brigade who wanted to force them out, and there is no doubt that this was carried out with the blessing of the Office of the Prime Minister.
The fact that they were sidelined turned into a nasty timebomb.
So let’s just try to follow Saviour Balzan’s reasoning.
1. When faced with demands from a spiteful, resentful and incompetent bully who has proved already that he cannot be trusted, give in to those demands lest his behaviour becomes worse.
2. Sideline people who are more deserving on merit, more competent and more reliable and instead give the jobs to those who cause the most trouble.
3. People who cause trouble should always be appeased.
4. Never stand up to bullies. Instead, give in to them.
5. Temper tantrums, sulking, vengeful behaviour and dog-in-the-manger tactics are understandable and justifiable in people over the age of four.
6. Grown men have fragile egos and a weak sense of self, therefore it is irresponsible for bile bloggers to criticise them lest they lash out and do something troublesome.
7. If sidelining them and criticising them causes them to go AWOL or haywire, blame those who criticised them and not them, because apparently they are not responsible for their actions.
8. When bile bloggers mock and deride the actions of grown men behaving like spiteful children, then obviously, they are doing so with the encouragement of the prime minister because a. they can’t think for themselves, and b. the prime minister can veto or approve what bile bloggers write.
Saviour’s insistent belief that what I write is sanctioned (or not) by the prime minister causes me to wonder even more loudly who sanctions and vetos what he writes.

“would have continued to row the boat down the stream”
Well at least he does recognise that despite the cataclysmic head winds, with GonziPN the rowing is downstream.
Perfect position for a kick in the butt.
Now THAT’S a description of a FW if there ever was one.
If he intends to use this philosophy as a parent, I’d hate to think what his offspring is going to be like in due course.
[Daphne – I hate to pass judgement, but the results of a 50-year gap between parent and child are rarely successful. Would that this is different.]
And now for something entirely the same;
