The “tbatija” competition: is Silvio winning it?

Silvio Parnis: he regrets the fact that he is forced to deprive his wife and child of his presence, rather than regretting being deprived of their company.
Kemm hi iebsa il-hajja fil-politika. Wara gurnata tigbor il-pirmli mill-lokijiet tax-xjuh, trid tmur il-parlament. Eh, hija. Mn’alla ikun Jum il-Missier halli tarahom ftit qabel ma mmur indur il-portijiet mal-irgiel (see earlier post).
Silvio Parnis on Facebook:
Wara gurnata xoghol mort nittawwal lit-tifel, kif soltu naghmel qabel immur il-Parlament, u hu bl-akbar innocenza hares lejja u qalli: ‘Pa` oqghod mieghi hawn please…’ u f qalbi ghidt, kemm hija iebsa l-hajja fil-politika; trid iccahhad il-familja biex tkun ta’ servizz. Izda meta nhares lura nghid: ‘…imma n- nies dejjem apprezzaw ix- xoghol u d-dedikazjoni … il-gurnata tkompli
I just love the way he frames his sentiments. Instead of feeling bad because he never gets to see his wife and child (interestingly lumped together as ‘il-familja’, which she must LOVE), he feels bad because they never get to see HIM.
What an a**hole.

If only there was a way he could spend much more time with his family and save the rest of us from his presence.
If only we could explain to him that unlike his son, we will never ask him to “oqghod hawn maghna please.”
What’s his daytime job anyway?
Interesting question, does he actually work?
I think he’s a nurse at St. Vincent de Paule home for the elderly.
Why didn’t Silvio take his son to parliament? Nobody would have noticed another child.
Kemm hi iebsa l-hajja, kos? Nofs Malta tohrog u thalli t-tfal warajha kuljum. Heqq.
BUFFU
I can’t STAND people who comment about themselves, in a way one would normally hope that OTHERS comment about them – Arah, miskin Silvio, putting his parliamentary duties before the needs of his family. Kemm jirsisti ghalina miskin!
Self-praise is actually no praise at all, Silvio.
Here’s a thought though, as you have apparently booked a day off on 19/06. How about dedicating that day to the family which you are, by your own admission, depriving of your presence, instead of poncing about with ‘the boys’ on a bloody Captain Morgan cruise?
Qabbizli demgha, din it-tbatija kollha.
Dalwaqt bin-nofstanhari Silvio ħi. Tibda tarah waqt is-siesta.
Does this man work apart from the part-time job in parliament?
What does this guy do? Write fairy tales? Does he have a little voice in his head that talks to himself?
Malta has got its own Karl Pilkington. Quick, give him a radio show.
And what about the PQs coming from Silvio? Dear Luciano, please take note at who is wasting the time of who!

* 33838. L-ONOR. SILVIO PARNIS staqsa lill-
Ministru tas-Saħħa, l-Anzjani u l-Kura fil-Komunità
Jista’ l-Ministru jgħid x’jista’ jsir biex l-anzjana li d-dettalji dwarha qed jintbagħtu separatament, tingħata xi tip ta’ handle biex jgħinha tqum mis-sodda?

Ministru tas-Saħħa, l-Anzjani u l-Kura fil-Komunità
Jista’ l-Ministru jara l-każ tat-tifel li d-dettalji dwaru qed jintbagħtu separatament, peress li l-mediċini li jieħu ħafna drabi jkunu out of stock mill-Ispiżerija tal-Gvern u b’konsegwenza ta’ hekk il-familja bil-minimum wage ikollha tixtrihom minn butha?

Ministru tal-Ġustizzja, Konsultazzjoni Pubblika u l-Familja
Jista’ l-Ministru jara l-każ tal-anzjana li d-dettalji dwarha qed jintbagħtu separatament, li qed tistenna biex tingħata xi forma ta’ għajnuna peress li m’għandha l-ebda tip ta’ dħul ieħor u d-Dipartiment tas-Sigurtà Soċjali ilu għaddej bil-proċess mit-13 ta’ Novembru?
Mario Galea must love him.
Okkja. Kemm hu edukat it-tifel. Jghidlu “please” lil Silvio. Alla jbierek xi progress ghamlu l-mittel kless hux?
I bet all this stress has an effect on his libido. I.m surprised he found the time to father a child with all his ‘nkun ta’ servizz’ bullshit,
With a wife who is 20 years younger than Silvio, I am sure that she must be really happy that he is never at home.
I refuse to believe this exchange ever happened. It sounds like a line from a badly-scripted drama by Eileen Montesin.
On One Radio, they were advertising yet another fund -raising event from the mejtin bil-guh tas-Sawt. This time, an event on Father’s Day, organized by the “Friends of Silvio Parnis”.
