Well, Eddie Fenech Adami certainly managed to say the wrong thing there

A comment posted by Min Jaf beneath my bit about Raymond Caruana:

And what about the young man, Mario Pavia, who was chased and shot by the SMU police following a PN meeting at Rabat on the eve of the 1987 election. He died a short while later as a direct result of the trauma he was subjected to that day.

And also Lino Cauchi, the accountant who was kidnapped during what Karmenu ‘Il-Guy’ Vella refers to as his zmien helu tad-deheb, brutally murdered with a blow to the head, his corpse hacked into pieces, and the pieces dumped into a disused well in Buskett where they were found years later, solely because of his knowledge of crooked dealings involving Labour Party diehards and Labour cabinet minister Lorry Sant.

What good could ever outweigh the killings, suffering and injustice that was the hallmark of the Mintoff and then KMB-led 16-year period of government?

“The police investigation in 1982 and Anglu Farrugia

Dr Farrugia did not interrogate Piju camilleri in 1982 but he did arrest Lino Cauchi’s wife. Anglu Farrugia has written to this newspaper to suggest clarifications to a report we carried last week but refused to answer other pertinent questions put to him.”

There are many people out there who can tell of the attrocities suffered under this bastard’s reign. I for one have a couple near death persecutions because of this bloody villain Mintoff.

History will remember the tainted side of this dictator as well, as it does with so many others typically coming from the eastern and socialist part of the world.

Bloody socialism! But shouldn’t Joseph be telling us whether his party will be following in Dom’s footsteps? It would be an interesting question to ask him while he is mourning the giant who literally trampled upon at least half of his people.

The way the NP especially the Nationalist media handed this event will surely cost them a lot of votes.

Their loss of memory and their servile eulogies are a insult to all those who followed them in the past battling Mintoff’s tyranny.

This a confirmation that the Nationalist Party has lost all hope of winning the next election. The Labour Party has taken politcal advantage of this event, having a lot of help from the Nationalist media and spokesmen.

Very well said. Pity that Fenech Adami seems to have erased it all from his memory.
