Damn, that plucked and defrosted turkey Franco slept with last night couldn’t be trusted

Published: December 11, 2012 at 9:44am

Franco tries some ‘hu go fik’ safe sex with a turkey last night.

It’s gone and blabbed to the newspapers, on the phone to Maltastar first thing this morning.

MP Franco Debono woke up in very good spirits on Tuesday morning and is at peace with himself after voting against the budget as he said he would if Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi kept Minister Austin Gatt in his cabinet. (Maltastar report)

A kiss-and-tell frozen turkey. You can’t trust anyone or anything these days.

Well, of course he woke up in good spirits. That’s the adrenalin rush making him hyper. By tomorrow, or even tonight, he’ll have crashed. And then good luck to those who have to deal with him.

And yet not many might realise this at this point in time, but the one that will end up losing in the long run is Franco Debono himself.

This morning people were not discussing the coming elections but Franco’s speech. Everybody was talking about how much hatred this man has for his supposed colleagues.

      He has already lost.

Spot on Maryanne. Everybody is talking about Franco Debono’s hard hitting speech. In one fell swoop he destroyed Gonzi’s two hour monotonous monologue riddled with figures that are hardly understood and immediately forgotten. Debono laid bare Gonzi’s weak leadership, a fact obviously ignored by this blog and its diehard PN followers.

      • Jozef says:

A weak leadership whose work Joseph’s adopted in full.

        Hardly understood eh?

      • Danton says:

        @Stingray;

Dawk li iltqajt maghhom jien dalghodu qalu ”Franco…who? ” and carried on with their daily routine as usual.

        @ stingray (a hired hand?)
You must have imbibed one too many, my friend. The speech I listened to was one precise accounting of this legislature accomplishments in the last 5 years in spite of all the pains in the arse the PM had to endure via Jeffrey, Jesmond and last but not least Franco.
As a matter of fact by that speech Dr Gonzi ‘mesah l-art tal-Parlament b’Joseph u l-Lejber Party.
The LP is now starting to realize that it will not be a runaway victory, if at all, because it cannot endorse the contents of a Budget it has just voted against. Is this one of Joseph’s unexplained magic tricks?
Here is what the LP stood for:
Integration – selling Malta for three reps in the House of Commons. The Nationalists delivered Independence.
Failed miserably in negotiations with Britain and marked the failure by calling it ‘Freedom Day’. Freedom from what?
Proceeded with years of want, violence, mayhem and thuggery. Nationalists restored democracy, fairness, open trade, freedom of speech…
Crusaded against EU membership – Nationalists delivered FULL membership + 1 billion euro.
Advised against joining the eurozone – Nationalists adopted the euro which indirectly saved our bacon.
Need one carry on? Is a ‘new’ dinosaur loaded Labour government able to deliver one sliver of Nationalist governments’ accomplishments?
Not if they can’t remember what they said three minutes before, let alone recall the disasters they created thirty years ago.

        @Danton

        Knock knock
        Who’s there?
        Franco
        Franco who?
        Ah, you’ve heard it before.

    • Daphne: He surely slept better than you or your adoring commentators on this blog !

    • Franco laid bare what Lawrence Gonzi was afraid to mention evenone word in his 2 hour speech !

      • Karl says:

The next time Franco lays bare you should lay there with him.. hopefully some cock action will keep you two away from a PC with an internet connection. Thank you.

  2. Stanley Clews says:

Ride out into the sunset, Franco, and disappear from our sight. Bitter until the end and a failed politician.

No wonder you left Parliament by the back door with a police escort.

    • Danton says:

Maybe he was scared of the joyful crowds outside the main door, waiting to carry him on their shoulders to drop him into the nearest public convenience now that his best-by date has come and gone.

      • Danton. You said that Franco ” has c ome and gone “, and I bet you and your GonziPN friends will continue to mention him in your comments- especially Daphne !

    • Stanley Clews: A PN deputy having to leave parliament with a police escort to protect him from GonziPN thugs ! Doesn’t it make you ashamed, Stanley ? How times change !

  3. Anthony says:

so franco is irrelevant but you are still writing about him………

    MAHRUQIN.

PS. €5 for the campaign anyone?

    • Angus Black says:

You go and give your €5 to your Party’s fundraiser. The LP consistently collects one half of what a similar campaign raises for the NP. It seems to me that the LP has a better use for your €5.

Ahna MAHRUQIN? U ghadna ma tlifniex l-elezzjoni wara li ilna fil-gvern ghal 23 sena meta tal-Lejber ilhom imwahhlin fuq il-bankijiet ta l-Oppozizzjoni ghall istess tul ta zmien.

Ma nafx min hu mahruq jien.

By my calculation the Labour Party has been toast for a quarter century. Calling the kettle black Anthony?

For your information we have known for a long time that Franco would vote against the Budget for egotistic reasons, but we were hoping that the Budget was good enough for the Opposition to let it go through.

The other super ego’s sole aim however is to become Malta’s wonder boy premier before he turns 40. We shall see in three months time. I can imagine him marking the 2013 calendar (and his rowtmep) one day at a time! A rowtmep to nowhere I hope.

      • Angus Black You confirm what I have already written elsewhere. That Gonzi and Tonio presented this budget because they were convinced they would not have to be accountable for its implementation !

  4. Taks Fors says:

For a change, I woke up, like Franco, in good spirits this morning.

PN will now just concentrate on winning the next election, and judging by Lawrence Gonzi’s determination last night, I feel less resigned to a definite Labour victory.

A few indications are already pointing to a Joseph who has been outsmarted yet again as he sees the country now fully focused on what he plans to do, in detail, with the future of this country.

On the other hand, PN will be one solid team in attack mode by virtue of the results achieved over the last 5 years and the mediocrity of Labour’s team and ideas. The PM provided a lot of fodder yesterday on how PN will now move from defence to attack during his two speeches in Parliament and at Castille.

And if one notices the present trend in many sectors it is indeed positive.

Labour supporters are only glad that the government has been defeated but less sure of winning the next election now. The gap between the voters is lessening and Labour hasnt even yet come out with its electoral manifesto which will provide the best fodder for PN to switch from defence to attack. Let the party begin.

  6. zunzana says:

Dr. Gonzi never called Franco Debono TRADITUR, in spite of Debono’s having caused Dr. Gonzi so many unnecessary problems.

Yet Joseph Muscat backed Dr. Sant when Mintoff was called TRADITUR and I suppose he was there cheering his leader on.

    • anna caruana says:

The difference is that Mintoff s attack on Sant was personal .

Although I don t agree with Franco s motives you still can t dismiss all the accusations he made yesterday.

      • zunzana says:

There were many instances where Franco attacked Dr. Gonzi personally.

      • Angus Black says:

Has it even crossed your mind, Anna, that Debono has been taking advantage of his Parliamentary immunity to spew garbage in copious volumes?

    • Qeghdin Sew says:

Gonzi admitted several times that he was trying to avoid Sant’s ‘mistake’.

  7. J Farrugia says:

Franco Debono’s new f**k-buddy is Nadia from Victoria, a woman who’s been around a bit.

  8. de-feathered says:

Guess when the cock-fighting turkey stuffer has his bird-day? 9th March.

    • Angus Black says:

He’s been having ‘bird-days’ just about every week for the last several years.

The one on March 9th is the one he blows his trick candles for one last time.

      Cheerio Frankie and good riddance.

  9. Guess then, Franco will be having a double-celebration !

  10. Anthony says:

    @ Angus Black

For your information I am not attached to a party like the lot of you supporting this blog. I vote according to my conscience and the general ongoing of things. I also voted PN in 1998 and 2003. The PN didn’t deserve power in 2008 and was elected through deceit. It should have gone down sooner and it is only through deceit that it didn’t. Had the PM called an election earlier I would have respected him slightly more than I do now.

The PM should also to the accusations made by Franco. By saying that they are irrelevant, he continues to confirm that the clique in his party exists and has truly taken over all matters.
