In the cold, clear light of day

Perhaps now certain people who should know better will cease writing rubbish about how Jeffrey, Franco and Jesmond – together with their Labour friends – have given parliament the dignity it deserves.

Even if their intelligence quotient is something of a handicap, and if their reasoning is warped by prejudice, they should be able to see now, looking back, that those three and their Labour friends have done the precise opposite.

They have brought shame to parliament and have perverted its function and purpose to suit their own narrow, personal interests and need to settle largely imagined scores.

They are disgraceful and unworthy of their seats. Anyone who praises their behaviour even at this stage must have his own judgement and morals called into question.

Bis-sustanza was the apology of why Labour chose to sabotage an irrevocable process.

If Joseph can’t change this budget, and he said so, why put a spanner in the works?

It’s ludicrous having to listen to their protests that the PM can still implement the measures, who do they think they’re kidding? Makes them look even more dorky.

Yesterday Marthese Portelli, President of PN, was saying pretty much silly things on Net TV.

I understand she is also a board member of Wasteserv, where it’s been alleged that a Eur 1 million security contract ballooned to Eur 29 million by direct order. PN has not issued a rebuttal about this, nor a detailed explanation.

    This is worrying.

  4. Franco the man with a dream, the iron man.

The birth of new era just started with Franco de Bono dramatic speech in the House; by far the best political giant in history. For the next legislature, Franco will gain back his Seat with an absolute majority so as to flourish the transperincy in among the Parliamenterian Members.
For the next crucial years we will enjoy the Labour Party in full power with a majority of a thousand vote. Alfred Sant will be granted the next Presidancy. Alas, disappiontments like many of the other nations will hit the Islands of Malta and the flagelation of the most vunerable will be most endured. There will be no more complaints and every one must accept his own fate until the end.

“Alfred Sant will be granted the next PresidEncy”.
Not if an MEP salary and perks are higher than the President’s.
Sant will receive his Social Security, ex-PM and MP pensions and MEP salary and allowances.
Had it been Franco Debono the choice would be simpler. He would go for Presidency because that would be his ultimate ‘success a la Form II”. After all he suffered at the hands of the Nationalist Party, the loss of a few thousand euros begin to look like chicken feed, speaking of which…
Franco can enjoy the fresh air at Ghaxaq, although he will find something to carp about, such as aircraft noise which probably ‘damdamlu mohhu’ to begin with.

    • H.P. Baxxter says:

Alfred Sant president? Oh dear. Instead of gap year jaunts to Peru we’ll be paying for European roadtrips in a refurbished Trabant. The ADC and staff will be following in a convoy of Citroën 2CVs.

I think that the three musketeers could have been all replaced by Silvio Zammit in parliament.

Even Silvio would have workout better.
