Lydia Abela of all people – what a ruddy nerve

Published: January 29, 2013 at 6:19pm

Labour Party executive Lydia Abela is emailing people again to tell them that if they

don’t just want a small clique to have access to the best our country has to offer, while everybody else has to scrape by on the bare minimum

then they should do as she does and vote Labour. She’s in! Are you in too?!!!

What a ruddy nerve. This from a woman whose father-in-law is currently living the life between San Anton Palace and Verdala Castle, where she and her equally rude and grabby husband Robert had their child baptised, leaving their spoor for eternity in the form of a plaque to commemorate the momentous occasion.

This from a woman whose husband’s law firm (the selfsame Robert) was awarded the tender for legal services to the Malta Environment and Planning Authority and has kept the contract for years now.

Excuse me for using an extremely crass expression, but no other suffices with people like this: wicchom u sormhom l-istess.

Edward Scicluna just sent us his words of wisdom now.

They still disregard the Commissioner of Data Protection Act – I have never subscribed to their mailing lists.

I believe few would naysay that Lydia is living high on the hog.

However, what will she do come 10th March?

The picture that springs to mind is her face down and arse up, busily occupied at the trough.

Hiding the first – because she could not care less, perhaps -and sporting the second – an ‘ghajnek f’ghajni’ attitude, maybe? The important thing is the gorging, not the posture.

May I ask what is Astrid’s opinion about the baptism plaque in Saint Anthony’s Chapel near Verdala Castle?

    Is she in? I’m not.

  6. C Falzon says:

Did I understand this right or am I misreading it? Did they actually put a plaque at San Anton to commemorate their child’s baptism?

Was it placed in the chapel or near the tree, because if it was placed in the chapel, mela mbaghad tabilhaqq tal-MISTHIJA.

[Daphne – It tells you right there that it’s placed near the tree. It’s got the name of the tree on it, though you’ll be forgiven for missing it.]
