Every woman knows (or should) that when a man promises you heaven on earth, the thing to do is to beat a hasty retreat

This doesn’t only hold in love and marriage and related fields, but in every other area of life and politics. Perhaps it’s a lesson that some men have to learn the hard way.

Here’s Labour electoral candidate Brian Bezzina, for starters.

Are we showing serious cracks in such a short time?

U ma tarax int! Din bhad-dimostrazzjoni li kellha ssir favur il-pushback policy ix-xahar l-iehor, u mbaghad thassar kollox.

Ghadu daqxejn kmieni, siehbi. Dawk li ghandhom geddumhom fix-xghir zgur se jaghmlu minn kollox biex dan ma jigrix…. almenu ghalissa.

I’m envious of Brian Bezzina. If I had Facebook, I’d do anything to have my profile displaying such popular and generally great people as Friends.

  3. TinaB says:

If memory serves me right, Brian Bezzina owns (or used to own) a business renting cars.

He appears to be a good man but he always struck me as too dumb. He clearly is.

It takes courage to speak out against the snake-oil artist, if his environment is one that supports Joseph Muscat. Clearly the environment may be changing, and people coming back to their senses may be the first signs of it.

Had he received the money he was after we wouldn’t be seeing this reaction, would we? The fact that this promise was made was irregular to begin with.

Joseph Muscat and his mentor purposely played on, and proceeded to knowingly exploit to the fullest extent, the modern versions of the Seven Mortal Sins.

Not the ones alerted below, but those of their own fashioning at more or less the same time:

It was only by asserting the immoral and roping supporters in on that ticket that the amoral paved the necessary playground space.

All they had to do was get through the gate.

The Facebook entry on the 7th of March appears not to be written by the same person writing today’s entry. Not sure whether that is important but it seems somewhat odd.

  5. Joe Fenech says:

The PL’s manifesto was so hit-and-miss that no one in his right mind would have given it any heed. This electoral win could only happen in a country whose majority is made up of illiterate and semi-literate people. Sure – Malta did need a change, but voting for a bunch of nasty, incompetent arrivistes – never.

If you read between the lines during the election campaign and had half a brain you would know that the Labour government was promising us hell on earth.

Hekk hu, Sur Bezzina, il-mercenarji jgawdu dejjem.

It would be interesting to know what exactly this person was promised…
