The Central Bank of Malta has a new director – the sort who wears Partit Laburista ‘I’m In’ T-shirts and hangs around with Joe Debono Grech

Here’s a photograph of a new director of the Central Bank of Malta, one Romina Cuschieri, at a Labour Party mass meeting on the Floriana granaries with her best friend Joe Debono Grech, the longest-serving Labour MP in Maltese political history.

Cuschieri helps Debono Grech with his band-club.

She has also been appointed chairman of the Student Maintenance Grants Board – but of course, being a director of the Central Bank is a whole other ball-game, because of the key role the institution plays in the economy.

This is the relevant government notice:

Central bank of malta (cap. 204)

I have never seen directors and government appointed chairmen donning PN merchandise or PN t-Shirts or mingling with the crowd during PN mass meetings. For the PL it’s just a thing to do which is tacky and cheap.

  6. Beltijablu says:

You know, before the elections, we kept hearing the I’m in chant from the PL supporters. Soon the EU is going to turn around and say You’re out.

Once The Hon. Joe Debone Grech is being mentioned I would like to say this. Very rarely do I agree with whatever the Honourable member chooses to utter. However I totally endorse what he said about Joseph Muscat when he was elected leader of the then MLP. Schoolboy, or similar adjedctives. Well done.

I suppose she reads the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal and the Economist whilst helping out at the band club.

Malta’s PiMp still boasts of majority of thousands he got 10 months ago, but now can’t find decent persons he can trust to sit on boards and committees.
