Am I right in thinking that the tightwad Police Minister has finally given his wife some jewellery?

The sole purpose of these photographs seems to be showing off the matching Faberge earrings and necklace set (how awfully dinky), with which Mrs Police Minister appears to be so absolutely thrilled to bits that she is posing like an excited 14-year-old in the first grown-up outfit daddy has bought her, so that she can post the pictures on Facebook for everyone to see what a lucky, lucky girl she is.
Well, if she thinks that dinky set is a great trade for you-know-what with the Police Minister, who are we to quarrel with it? Maybe he has hidden qualities.
Or maybe she just lies back and thinks of Faberge, rather than Eng…Romania.

What happened to that door in the background? Looks like someone was clawing at it to get out.
I was planning to get hold of the €500,000 which he keeps under the mattress, when I saw those claw marks on the door, I suspected that he keeps a hungry dog at home, and went back to the drawing board…now how about abseiling.
Those corpulent pulleni women of Hal Qormi, bedecked with thick gold native jewelry on festa evening back in the 1950s, could have showed this Romanian gold-digger what real gold jewelry looks like.
If he wasn’t tight, he would have bought a pricier model.
And pricier would have been tighter. See what you’ve made me do now.
Hilarious.
More telling is the state of the paintwork on the wooden door on the left hand side of the second photo. It must be hell living in the Manwel Mallia household. The smile on Codruta’s face is not that of a happy woman. The eyes convey tiredness and sadness.
What are the odds that Scrooge MM snatched back the jewellery and put it back in the safe, next to his Euro 500,000 stash, once the photo shoot was over?
He got those puttini from Giorgio’s post-refurbishment.
Ma nahlu xejn.
They are Faberge’s new collection.
I’d have given her a pearl necklace too.
Down boy! Down!
Imma biex imorru parata dawn in-nisa kellhom għalfejn jilbsu “handbag” donnhom ġarrew id-dar magħhom? Kollha kemm huma ibda mill-president u spiċċa fin-nisa kollha li b’xi mod jew ieħor għandhom x’jaqsmu ma’ dan il-gvern, għandhom bżonn min jagħtihom xi ftit lezzjonijiet, fuq protokoll, etikett u kif għandhom jilbsu għal ċertu okkażjonijiet għax lanqas idea m’għandhom.
Kemm int injurant Ċikk ! Il-ġewlaq iġorruh magħhom biex fil-festin ikollom fejn jaħżnu il-pastini u l-pastizzi biex jieħduhom magħhom id-dar u jlefilfuhom l-għada.
Għandek raġun biex tbigħ, Ġaħan. Għax tgħid lanqas għaddietli minn rasi. Qed tara kemm jilħaqlek moħħok fejn trid Ġaħan.
After buying her those earrings and pendant, he didn’t have enough money left over for a visit to the hairdresser.
The bags under the eyes say it all. How sad. As long as she thinks the deal is worth her while, who am I to judge?
The deal she made was irresponsible because it did not only involve her.
But let’s give this lady the benefit of the doubt because maybe she never knew that children fathered by men in their late 50s, especially if they are boys, have a hugely increased risk of autism and schizophrenia.
Manuel Mallia thought he was doing a clever thing by siring an heir for his millions with a woman young enough to be his daughter, but was too uninformed to know that the biggest parental-age-related problems are with the father not the mother.
At 60, he fathered twin sons who are severely autistic, making this woman’s materialistic deal a whole lot worse than it should have been.
If children were part of the Codruta/Manuel Mallia bargain, then we’re looking at two extremely irresponsible (or tragically uninformed) individuals.
This is just the latest and most comprehensive study, but the information has been publicly available for some years now.

I’d have given her a good bra first.
All those watercolours, and not a Girolamo Gianni in sight. Tsk.
More to the point, not a single Kenneth. Tsk double tsk.
