Some men will never learn the admirable value of discretion
Three years ago, Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando was creating the ruckus from hell in parliament because he wanted, he said, to be able to marry the woman with whom he had lived for 10 years: bring on the divorce law so that he could marry her.
I could tell that he didn’t want to marry her, though, and that this was just an excuse to create trouble.
Two years ago this week, he very reluctantly married her after two months of creating more hell in parliament with a vote against Richard Cachia Caruana, followed by an attempt to have him expelled from the Nationalist Party, and all because he quite clearly did not want to get married but had painted himself into a corner and was in hell himself with no way out.
With all eyes on him, and having done all that because he claimed he wanted to get married, he had no choice but to marry. Well, he did have a choice, but it would have taken something he doesn’t have: guts.
One year ago this week, he was caught on camera at a pastizzi shop in Rabat at 5am with a woman who was neither his wife nor Lara Boffa, and then became involved in a brawl with a young man his children’s age, which ended up in court. A few weeks after that, his wife of one year walked out, taking all her possessions with her.
And this week, he continues to demonstrate that he doesn’t know anything about the value of discretion and doesn’t even begin to understand that at 51, he looks like an idiot.
I have a guiding principle about men and their relationships which has never let me down: the more they boast about them and show off about them and make a meal of them, the less they care about the woman in question.
When men are in love, they protect both the woman and the fact from public knowledge. Clearly, Miss Boffa doesn’t have much experience. More fool her. A narcissist like that isn’t capable of loving anyone anyway. Maybe she thinks, in the time-honoured tradition of foolish women, that she’s going to be the one to defy psychiatry and change him.
I recommend she rings his two ex wives, Marlene Farrugia and Carmen Ciantar, for the crazed facts.

Careful, Daphne. He’s well capable of citing “social pressure” as a valid reason why his marriage to Carmen Pullicino (not Ciantar yet if we wanted to be precise) should be declared null. He’d be able to marry Lara Boffa in less than the 4 years imposed by the divorce bill he himself wrote.
Lara, you’re utterly stupid. Run. It’s for your own good. Why would you want to be seen with someone who is such bad news? Run dear, run.
No, they deserve each other. Really.
JPO is using Lara Boffa to spite his two ex wives.
[Daphne – Then he’s an even bigger fool than she is, not to know that that kind of reactive behaviour only serves to increase the contempt of a woman who has walked out on you for very good reasons. I would say he’s actually using her to preserve his own ego in his own eyes.]
Qed tibda tidher sew ix-xjuhija Jeffrey f’dak ir-ritratt.
Lara Boffa and 7 others?
I’m told this is a family site, so I’ll say no more.
I think Lara Boffa should dump the Earl Grey leprechaun and find an Anthony Quinn clone to marry so to have children soon, to preserve that “Anthony Quinn in Malta” DNA.
I couldn’t agree with you more Daphne (having been a similar fool myself). Narcissistic men can only love themselves and seek only admiration from others to try and make up for their insecurity and low self-esteem. Oh well, she will learn and hopefully have enough guts to walk away.
So this moron creates a formula for himself: introduce divorce to get married to get divorced to get married to get divorced.
‘Jaffree’ is stuck in his schizoid loop and is turning into an old little wet fart.
On another note, Miss Boffa looks heavily botoxed and she obviously gets it for free now.
Carmen on the other hand looks much better and much more natural.
The last words of his message warrant profound study: the sun setting in the evening. What are we all meant to be saying, “Well thank God it wasn’t setting in the morning”? Or, maybe, “Yes Jeffrey, that’s exactly what the sun tends to do in the evening; it’s a natural cycle…maybe you ought to be following its course.”
Do you mean that the more narcisstic they are the more they see only themselves in anything that surrounds them ? If that is the case I agree and thank God I am not one like him.
Am I right in concluding that she might be young enough to be his daughter?
