That crook is still refusing to resign and the prime minister is still refusing to sack him

Muscat is just going to replace Don Manuel without telling him ‘You’re fired’ and without Don Manuel tendering his resignation. He’s always telling us that he’s not afraid to take tough decisions, but then he’s terrified of confrontation.

Only in Taghna Lkoll Land.

What next? Looks like we’re going to have Manuel Mallia still calling him ‘ministru’ on the basis that he never resigned and was never fired. Maybe he should ring the prime minister’s friend John Dalli for advice on how to try pulling this particular stunt.

Oh, didn’t you know that the prime minister and John Dalli are still friends? It was the prime minister who invited him to the unveiling of the statue of Censu Tabone in Balluta Bay. He wasn’t a guest of the family – the invitations were issued by the government.

Can you imagine making a man like that Police, Army and Justice Minister? What's wrong with the prime minister? Picture shows the man who is refusing to resign, with Codruta Cristian and Marlene Mizzi

If I were Manuel Mallia, AT THIS STAGE I would refuse to resign and would request the Prime Minister to have the guts to sack me if he wanted to get rid of me.

Is Manuel Mallia going to remain on as Minister for PBS or something? No-one seems to be mentioning where that fragment of his portfolio is ending up.

What is Manuel Mallia going to do when Joseph Muscat calls the next cabinet meeting.

  4. Manuel says:

The PM has no balls. He should never have asked Mallia to resign. He should have demanded his resignation.

He should have demanded also that such a resignation be on his desk at Castille within the hour.

This procrastinating on Mallia’s part is deliberate. He wants to prove that he can hold the PM by his balls whenever it pleases him. I believe that Mallia is not going to be easily appeased and the PM is actually digging his own grave.

I am eagerly waiting the new Commissioner of Police, Michael Cassar, to re-open the John Dalli case.

He, together with former Commissioner John Rizzo, was part of the investigating team that unanimously decided that there was sufficient evidence to proceed against John Dalli in court.

Is there a difference in the titles that an ex-minister keeps or in entitled allowances should one be fired as opposed to resignation?

An ex-minister who resigns can surely be re-appointed/elected, but can an ex-minister who is fired be re-appointed/elected?

Are we going to have Mallia as another minister without portfolio?

My hunch is that he is scheming to cause more harm to the prime minister. He is addicted to power and he will fight to the end. He will drag anyone with him. That is his nature.

How many times has Manuel Mallia given the bras d’honneur to Joseph Muscat since yesterday?

‘It was the prime minister who invited him to the unveiling of the statue of Censu Tabone in Balluta Bay.’

In that case I suspect it was a subtlety with the aim of causing embarrassment to the family and some of the guests.

Anyone care to ask for comments from his former partner in crime (defence), Ramona Frendo? Her Facebook has been politics-free all of a sudden.
