Number of views of this site in a single day surges past the half-million mark for the first time yesterday

Published: December 9, 2014 at 11:23am

The number of single-day views for this site yesterday rocketed to an unprecedented, all-time high of more than half a million. A total of 547,382 views was registered by midnight.

My thanks to all readers and to those who play a big part by making the comments-board lively and humorous but also pertinent and interesting, and by sending in memes, photographs, anecdotes and information that so often help with putting the pieces of puzzles together.

Let’s keep it going. OK, siehbi? ORRAJT!

If it was not for your unrelenting efforts in your own time to publish whatever the PM and Mallia tried to bury, the Don would still be the Interior Minister.

Wit a sec, actually I think he still is? tsk tsk

  2. Volley says:

Well, I’m not surprised. I come here to read about the story behind the story.

This is one of the few places that offers insight and pertinent comments about what’s happening in the country, not to mention the occasional exclusive story.

Well done and keep it up.

  23. Quo Vadis says:

I’m not a recurring visitor to this website, however when there’s some breaking news worth knowing more about, I know this blog is the one to read.

Thank you for sharing information with us. Pity you are the only one out there doing this. We want to see more journalists like yourself (from all sides of the spectrum) putting their necks on the line to publish FACTS.

    Tip ‘o hat, Daphne.

  24. Matt says:

You are the one and only. They know you are good and trustworthy. Since they are fake they will try to hinder you with their powerful positions. By doing so they look desperate and stupid.

    God bless you.

  25. Nenu Cassar says:

I don’t trust anyone except you to know the real facts.

  26. cdel says:

Not surprising – with your guts you are unique.

Thank you, Daphne – yes, keep it going because we will not know half of it if it wasn’t for you.

Many, many people are very grateful for this site, thank you.

  29. vanni says:

But the biggest thanks should go to the Labour Party. Without their shenanigans, people would ignore politics. But Joseph and co can’t help themselves supplying grist to your mill.

  30. Luigi says:

At this rate you will soon surpass PSY and Gangam Style. Got bless!

  31. Marie says:

As Konrad would have said – fenomenali!

On the subject of breaking records, the PN collection campaign last Sunday was also a record breaker.

    Keep up the good work.

  33. Bella Patria says:

    Grazzi ta’ kollox.

  34. CiVi says:

    “OK hanini.”

Why does Sheehan in most of the telephone conversations get treated like some frail schoolboy who has to be sweet-talked? Or is it just my impression?

  35. Issa Daqshekk says:

This site is the only sane and civilized Maltese cyberspot around.

  47. Julian Mompalao de Piro says:

So the saga is finally over. Or, at least Part 1 is over.

Simon Busuttil, quite rightly, thanked the ‘independent media and the PN media’.

I sincerely hope he was referring to you as the independent media, even if he couldn’t say so. Or could he?

Anyway, although I haven’t commented, I have read each and every post and comment and wish to thank you for your untiring work to get the truth out.

  48. AV says:

Wasn’t this 3 week wait a great distraction from the electoral power station deadline? Could it have been intentional?

  49. Gracecam says:

Thank you, Daphne. I read your Running Commentary each morning whilst sipping a cup of coffee. You really make me laugh sometimes; many times you are much better in posting news than most newspapers. Keep it up.

    Well done. Keep it up.

  53. Natalie Mallett says:

I have become a self-confessed addict to this blog. It is the best news portal and real time reporting on the net at present.

I sincerely would like to thank you, dear Daphne, for the professional way you do your investigative work.

I wish you a healthy, prosperous and happy future.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year 2015.

    Thanks again.

  54. ciccio says:

Now we have it from the prime minister Joseph Muscat and his three wise men that Daphne’s website publishes the truth while Muscat’s DOI churns out lies and cover-ups.

  55. Gee Dee says:
