The Opposition should go to parliament with gift packs of condoms and STD testing kits

When the Nationalists were in government, the Muscat-led Opposition used to enjoy pulling stunts like turning up in force for parliamentary sittings wearing the scarves of whatever football team it was that the Finance Minister flew to watch play – with Labour’s current power station fixers – or copies of Malta Today with a front page story which they had probably fed to the newspaper themselves.

Given the ongoing Brothelgate scandal, it’s a shame the Opposition won’t be turning up to the next sitting bearing gifts of bumper-size packs of condoms and STD testing kits. And perhaps the shadow minister for health could give an impromptu speech about the dangers of gonorrhoea.
