Points to be made (2)

Keith Schembri claims that he lent those €100,000 to Brian Tonna – and this at a time when Tonna’s business was beautifully in the black and Schembri’s in the red, according to the published accounts which were audited by the very same Tonna.

And that brings me to this point: auditors are not permitted to borrow money from the people whose companies they audit. It is malpractice.

Even in their extreme lies, these two nail themselves.

“I’d like to announce that I’m borrowing another 100,000 euros from the Prime Minister’s chief of staff. And when I pay him back through our secret Pilatus Bank accounts, don’t claim it’s kickbacks or Keith will sue.”
