How much would Maltese passports cost if we were not in the EU? A hundred euros?
My sentiment exactly – if citizenship is so cheap after joining the EU, imagine it we had not.
In the Golden Years, you would have had to pay foreigners for them to obtain a Maltese passport. The Maltese passport then was not an investment, it was a huge risk to one’s personal rights and freedoms.
Gosh, I reckon this must be the most embarrassing headline I’ve read so far. Muscat has made a right mockery out of all of us overnight, something akin to high treason.
