Brazil: Senate votes to suspend President and begin impeachment

Brazil is sunk in massive graft scandals, but even there institutions are stronger than they are in Malta. The Senate has just voted to suspend the country’s president – who is the head of the government and not just a non-executive head of state – and begin the process for her impeachment.
