Why do they always succeed in looking like a bunch of west Sicilian brigands?

Published: December 10, 2012 at 8:27pm

In the 2008 election campaign, Sant and his henchmen (including Muscat) looked like a group of gangland brigands from the cheaper, tackier end of the Mafia in their big black coats and their hands-in-coat-pockets (it’s what you do when you’ve got a gun and are planning to use it).

I was reminded of that when I sat Muscat and his henchmen – the same ones Sant had – emerging from parliament tonight. Yes, in their big black coats and with their hands in their coat pockets.

Ugly, bad people, up to no good – and by ugly I don’t necessarily mean actual physical appearance.

    The physical appearance too. The Labour lot look like a bunch of amateurs, wanting power just for te sake of it.

    Owen Bonnici, on the other hand, looked like his suit shrunk in the wash. Brr.

    Ugly physical appearance too.

    Joseph is not wearing a blue tie today.

    You mean the physical appearance but bouts of lucidity somehow made you change the concluding sentence. Yes even you get lucid moments.

    [Daphne – No, I didn’t mean their physical appearance. You can be physically beautiful and be an ugly person, and vice versa, incidentally, too.]

    Joseph Muscat was at a loss what to say during his press conference, announced minutes after Net reported that the PM was holding his at Castille.

    Didn’t know Joseph’s parliamentary group numbered over 60, or were those his other candidates as well?

    What a difference:

    Labour came out of Parliament looking downright angry;

    Gonzi and his team came out with head high and smiling;

    Franco…..disappeared for ever!

    So you deleted my message you bloddy witch

    [Daphne – Well, you know, I thought it unfair to further promote the fact that Laburisti tend to incoherent. Write a proper sentence and I’ll do you a favour and upload it.]
