What’s the connection between Leisure Clothing’s Grech Cumbo and the Police Minister?

Published: December 5, 2014 at 12:42am

Your guess is as good as mine right now. A few of you were doubtful when I said that he was the man seen on video jumping up and down and clapping like a maniac at Don Manuel’s show of support at the Mainguard. I’ll admit that the video isn’t that clear and his presence in it is fleeting. So I’ve found some photos for you which show beyond doubt that it really was him, sitting squarely in front of Mallia in the front row.

Is Minister Scicluna truly numerically challenged? I mean if he was the minister for sport, who cares, but he is the finance minister.

Malta’s debt is €5.5 billion and he is gloating about a windfall of €20 million. Mr Scicluna, that amount and more has been spent this year running the appalling bus service, and the subsidy to the Spanish operator will be greater than €20 million next year. Hawwadni ha nifhmek .

Now we need to find some photos of Paul Sheehan doing the pre-election rounds with Manuel Mallia. There must be a selfie somewhere.

Wasn’t it this website which broke the story of Paul Sheehan’s canvassing for Manuel Mallia?

Times of Malta has a story about this on the front page today but at no point does it acknowledge daphnecaruanagalizia.com as a source.

If this were a school essay, Times of Malta would be penalised for plagiarism.

[Daphne – Well, Times of Malta took it from In-Nazzjon yesterday and might not have realised that it was reported on this site some days ago.]

Dan Cumbo qieghed f’xi bord li jigi taht il-ministeru ta’ Mallia?

[Daphne – Le, ta’ Zammit Lewis, tal-Institute of Tourism Studies. He’s a Labour-appointed governor of a state college, and he can’t write or speak properly.]

Humour apart, aren’t the eloquence and diction to die for? Perhaps he could also oversee Mater Dei signage?
